BNK Medienpreis 2016 for 360° report

Every year our client Bundesverband Niedergelassener Kardiologen e. V. (BNK) awards its Medienpreis to one outstanding feature story (TV, radio, print or online) that creates best public awareness for heart health. The price, that is endowed with 2.000 Euros, went to the team of 7 Tage/ DIE BOX around Johanna Leuschen und Henning Wirtz for their interactive report “Am offenen Herzen”. The team used 360° film technology for the first time, combining classic film sequences with individual appliances. The report allows the audience to enter the operating room and gives unique insights into the human heart. By doing so, the coverage opens up a fully new dimension of health communication and perfectly deserves the BNK Medienpreis, as juror and science journalist Sean Monks outlines. Chairman Dr. Norbert Smetak awarded the winning team at the annual conference in Munich on November 26th. We’d like to say thank you to all applicants and congratulations to the winners!
