The first German female astronaut - LHLK wins the PR-Report Award thanks to a galactic PR campaign
The PR-Report Awards celebrate the best PR campaigns of the year with a big gala. On November 16 th, the 31-member expert jury unanimously selected our campaign "'The first German female astronaut" as the winner of the category "Small and Medium Enterprises".
In addition to the creative application video we convinced them with our galactic PR work for a historic mission - the search for the first German female astronaut. 556 print reports, 1080 online clippings, 171 radio reports and 241 TV reports within four months and two aspiring female astronauts show: We just hit the nerve of the moment and moved the entire nation with the project "The first female Astronaut"!
The project "The first German female astronaut" was initiated in 2016 by Claudia Kessler, Managing Director of HE Space, with the aim of sending the first German female astronaut to the International Space Station ISS on a research mission by 2020. In addition, the female astronaut is meant to be a role model who inspires young women for science and technology courses and professions. 400 highly qualified women from science with a great dose of adventure followed the application. After the complex professional, physical and mental selection process, six women moved into the finals. A jury selected two of them who have now started the astronaut training.
LoeschHundLiepold steered the PR campaign from the call for applications through the selection process to the final. We thank all journalists who have accompanied us on this mission and wish Insa and Nicola training very successful training - and a good flight. Keep reaching for the stars!
