Hiscox-Survey: German owners of oldtimers risk damage during winter
More than one quarter (26 percent) of the German oldtimer-owners who participated in the survey conducted by TNS Infratest do not take any special precautions for the storage of their historic vehicle during winter. Results show that 59 percent choose a dry location for storage, but only 29 percent remove the battery from the car. Although 29 percent of the interviewed oldtimer-owners already had experienced damages caused by corrosion and humidity and eight percent had problems with frost damage, the survey shows that the majority of the participants (67 percent) only have a regular car insurance to protect their classic car. The special insurer Hiscox offers tailor-made insurances for oldtimers and extensive protection under allrisk-conditions for every season. LHLK supports Hiscox in corporate communications.
